Winter Arc

At Camelback Mountain, Scottsdale, Arizona

I recently heard someone say they didn’t believe in the Winter Arc. They said it was too easy to hide away and not do any of the things you wanted to do because there was no accountability. While I can see their point of view, I believe the Winter Arc is up for individual interpretation.

Late Fall through Spring always seems hardest on my body, and in turn can take a toll on my overall level of joy during these colder, darker months. With autoimmune issues, it is common for this time period to result in more symptom flares, and that definitely hold true for me. I have decided to approach this season using my Winter Arc interpretation, and I’m looking forward to the experience.

My goals are to help support my immune system, reduce stress, and increase overall joy and well being. Sounds simple, right? Ha! I have been focusing on nutrition by increasing fiber and protein, reducing added sugars, and having consistent movement, sleep, and hydration. I also want to streamline and organize most areas of my personal and professional life, increase productivity as well as overall enrichment and fulfillment. I don’t really have a plan, but honestly I’m just going to do what feels good.

Ok, so what’s your take on the Winter Arc? Are you in? Are you creating a little arc of your own? Is it just bunk? Let me know what you think in the comments!

Let’s see what happens, shall we?

xx, linds
