Mini-Break in Florida

 

Pompano Beach, FL

I adore Bridget Jones and what she refers to as a mini-break…a common British term for a short holiday or getaway. She goes on adventures with her friends, and/or lovers, and thoroughly enjoys her short trips away from home, no matter the amount of drama that ensues.

I, Lindsay Crance, have gone on a min-break with my husband to Pompano Beach, Florida. 

And it has been the best thing we’ve done for ourselves as a couple in ages.

Hubby has been here for work since Wednesday, and has to be here through most of next week. It didn’t make sense for him to fly home for two days, then back again, so we decided to make the most of the weekend! We endured, but enjoyed an extended road trip from the airport and had an amazing dinner at Oceanside. (The Thai curry snapper was incredible!)

Then we hopped next door for a quick nightcap at The Beach House, then back to the hotel. We got into our jammies and planned our weekend. We’ve got a lot of fun things to pack into a couple of days, and I am so excited to explore the area! I’ll keep you posted!
