Being a Tourist

Everglades Holiday Park, FL

 When either my husband or I travel for work, our schedules are generally too full to really get out and about  to see much of the surrounding areas.

On this trip, we’ve tried to make the most of our time away, really get out and be tourists. Today, we got to learn all about the Everglades, alligators, and several native birds during our airboat tour in Everglades Holiday Park. We had so much fun, and thoroughly enjoyed being out in the sunny 80 degree weather for the day.

After a little nap back at the hotel, we walked to a nearby restaurant and had a delicious al fresco dinner. After a short walk down the Main Street of Pompano, we headed back to the hotel. We caught up with the kids, and enjoyed a quiet evening.

Tomorrow is our last full day here, and we have a few thing we’d really like to do. We don’t want to feel like we’re on a schedule, so we’ll probably play it by ear. I’ll let you know what we end up doing!
